Located in the heart of Downtown Lynchburg, Threaded Collective is dedicated to promoting sustainability, empowering community, and fighting fast fashion. By offering a curated, upscale secondhand shopping experience, their main objectives include reducing waste, informing the public about marginalized people groups around the world, and creating a strong sense of community both in the Lynchburg area and beyond!

THE TASK

  • Develop a sustainable shopping option that aligns with the brand’s mission and values.

  • Design marketing to target in-store shoppers and encourage purchases.

  • Create a simple, direct call to action consistent with brand guidelines.

THE SOLUTION

I collaborated with my team on conducting research into our target demographic and verbiage that would resonate with them.

Designed a playful yet purposeful call-to-action encouraging secondhand shopping as a way to get more for less.

Shifted the narrative from overconsumption to abundance without exploitation shopping second hand rather than fast fashion companies.

THE OUTCOME

‍ ‍ All 75 totes sold out, reinforcing demand for eco-friendly incentives and brand engagement.

‍ ‍Customers receive 10% off every in-store purchase when using their signature tote bag.

LYNCHBURG TOTE BAG

THE TASK

  • Create a limited-time tote bag that promotes both Threaded Collective and local businesses in the Lynchburg area.

  • Increase foot traffic in-store

  • Encourage purchases while driving additional leads to surrounding businesses.

THE SOLUTION

I centered this project on developing a playful design concept that highlights beloved businesses and activities in downtown Lynchburg.

I maintained brand cohesion with Mosaic Collective’s green and navy palette, offering versatile color options for the target demographic.

Designed to resonate with Lynchburg lovers, encouraging them to showcase their local pride while also promoting awareness of the featured businesses.

THE OUTCOME

‍The limited run of 50 totes sold out.

A second release of the tote is in development, featuring a limited-edition fall color.
