AMERICA’S 9/11 FOUNDATION

America's 9/11 Foundation is a nonprofit established following the aftermath of 9/11 to honor the memory of that day, support active first responders, and empower families affected. A key part of their mission is offering college scholarships and meaningful community aid. The foundation’s hallmark event is the America’s 9/11 Ride. Every year they organize a national memorial motorcycle ride to all three crash sites, combining tribute and fundraising. The ride raises awareness and resources for scholarships and first responder support.

2025 RIDE COIN

THE TASK

  • Capture themes of remembrance, resilience, and honor.

  • Appeal to both participants of the ride and collectors/supporters.

  • As detail-oriented as possible

THE SOLUTION

‍ ‍ My role included developing concept sketches, creating digital renderings, and preparing the final production-ready file.

I focused on incorporating meaningful symbolism that honored all first responders who served on and after September 11, 2001.

I gathered inspiration from past coin designs. I aimed to create a piece that felt timeless and distinct, but with higher emphasis on the heroic actions of the first responders.

THE OUTCOME

The commemorative coin was first introduced at fundraiser events leading up to the 2025 America’s 9/11 Ride.

The initial order of 150 coins sold out at the very first event, prompting an additional order to meet continued demand. Coins will be available at upcoming fundraisers as well as during the memorial ride in September.
